Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Launching October 25th, 2021

During the Animal Crossing Direct, Nintendo announced that the paid Animal Crossing: New Horizons DLC will be included in the upcoming Nintendo Switch Online Expansion, which launches on October 25h, 2021. The paid Animal Crossing DLC launches on November 5th, 2021.

How much does the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion cost?

An individual expansion plan will cost players $50 per year. Family plans will cost $80 per year.

What’s Included in the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion?

With the new Nintendo Switch Online Expansion, you’ll have access to everything included in the original plan, as well as the Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis titles.

Upcoming Nintendo 64 titles include Banjo-Kazooie and Paper Mario.

Included with these titles are save states, online multiplayer, supporting a friend by displaying your game, and use voice chat with the NSO smartphone app.

Nintendo has also made a new Nintendo 64 controller compatible with the Nintendo Switch available for NSO members to purchase.
